With the Impossible Mobile, we are experimenting with the idea of giving material and object a behavior that is surprising. We are fascinated with cantilevered structures and created a far-reaching double-cantilever that is alive with sensitivity to air movement in a space. While the mobile reaches, rotates, jackknifes and swings, we hope to bring interiors to life and perhaps express the idea that anything is possible.
